Kaspar Wachinger studied theoretical physics at the Amsterdam University College, followed by a Master’s degree in biophysics at the Technical University of Munich, with stays abroad at the University of Stellenbosch and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
As a member of the Ehrler Group at the AMOLF Institute for functional complex matter, Amsterdam, he wrote his Bachelor’s Thesis on the efficiency of Bi-Facial Solar Cells. Kaspar joined the Biological Physics and Morphogenesis group in 2022 for his Master’s research and subsequent thesis on coordinating genetic information in Physarum polycephalum.
