Mona Byberg Michelsen obtained her M.Sc. in Nanoscience from the University of Copenhagen. There, she studied the thermal characteristics of pea proteins for food applications. She joined the BPM lab as a Ph.D. student in 2024 with the goal of investigating hydrothermal vents as a potential site for the origin of life.
