Agnese Codutti received her bachelor’s degree in Physics at the Universita’ degli Studi of Trieste (Italy) in 2011. She got her master’s degree at the same university in Theoretical Physics in 2014, where she specialized in the fundamentals of quantum mechanics. After a brief time working in a bank as an IT specialist, she dedicated herself to biophysics during her Ph.D., which she did at the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam (Germany). In her Ph.D. work, she studied magnetic microswimmers from the theoretical and computational point of view, in particular, concentrating on magnetotactic bacteria and random-shape synthetic propellers. Her interests in the BPM group include fluid flow in complex geometries and networks.
