Swarnavo Basu obtained his integrated bachelor’s and master’s (BS-MS) in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune. His master’s thesis was on the unsupervised classification of topological phases in condensed matter using the Diffusion Map algorithm. He joined the group in 2022 as a Ph.D. student to work on self-optimizing flow networks.
