Onurcan Bektas studied both Physics and Mathematics during his bachelor. He is currently doing a Physics M.Sc. at the University of Göttingen in Max Planck School Matter to Life. During the last two years of his bachelor, he worked on dissipative self-assembly and stochastic systems that results in Tracy-Widow distributions. Upon graduating, he did an internship at the Max Planck Institute of Physics of Complex Systems, Dresden, with Dr. Steffen Rulands on stochastic systems driven by reinforcement learning. In 2021 he joined the group, as a part of his lab rotations, to work on self-organised porous media.
