The German Research Foundation (DFG) announced that it will fund the Research Unit 2581 on Morphodynamics of Plants. Aim of the nine PI strong research unit is to uncover how genetic information is translated and employed to reproducibly generate the physical, three-dimensional shape of an organism is a long-standing question in biology. The Biological Physics and Morphogenesis group will investigate the dynamic patterns of the plant growth regulator auxin within the unit.
